Calibration Contracts
Why Calibrate Regularly?
Calibration provides certainty, security, and confidence in the measurement results you attain with your radiation detection instrument. Annual service and calibration ensure the continued proper performance of the instrument.
Accuracy and compliance with legal standards is extremely important. Furthermore, downtime is expensive. Damaged, malfunctioning, or out-of-calibration instruments can be costly. Bear in mind the difference between planned downtime for maintenance and unplanned downtime for repairs.
Ludlum Measurements, Inc. offers one-stop calibration for most instruments, including neutron detection, and instruments produced by other manufacturers. Calibration contracts for both new instruments and instruments already in use are available. Special handling outside of standard calibration can be accommodated as well.
What Our Contracts Include
- As-Found Readings
- Two Points per Range
- One Detector

Advantages to a Calibration Contract: Pricing, Notifications, and Time Savings
PRICING: Calibration Contracts provide a savings of up to 5% over “per incident” calibration pricing, and lock in today’s rates against any price increases for the next 5 years. Below are examples of the savings you can expect. Remember that Ludlum Measurements provides calibration services for manufacturers’ equipment, too. Contact us for pricing for your radiation detection instrument.
NOTIFICATION: An automatic notification will be sent when your scheduled instrument is due for calibration.
TIME: A Calibration Contract means your covered instruments receive priority handling which means less down time. You also don’t have to wait on individual Purchase Orders before you can get instruments calibrated.
